After an estimated 5.6 magnitude earthquake rocked the island of Jamaica yesterday, damaging properties and businesses, numerous recounts of the earthquake have been gaining traction on the internet.
A lot of these instances include notable people who shared their experiences. One of which is Yanique “Curvy Diva” Barrett who stated that she was naked when the quake started.
According to Yanique, “Same time earthquake start me naked, tear come outta my room…mi daughter she a try run come outta fi har room…picha drop stuck pan the door she can’t come out, me a scream.” She mentioned that she “nuh even know weh fi go with a earthquake,” and that despite learning what to do in school, Jamaica as a whole is not ready for earthquakes of this level.
It can also be seen that she was still not fully dressed as she shared the extent of the damage that took place around her.
